Whether it’s your main squeeze, best mate or business partner, the back half of October is ripe for reflecting on what’s working and what’s not. When the planet of communications, business and intellect (Mercury) goes retrograde come 14 October, situations may arise that have you rethinking partnerships. Your greatest challenge this month will be keeping your cool amidst the crossfire, especially in the first fortnight of October. You don’t lose your temper often but there’s a reason “raging bull” is a thing. Retrogrades are not the time to move fast, so try to lean into the slower pace and use the time to get your ducks in a row. On the 14th Mercury-the planet of intellect and communication-goes retrograde (until 4 November), prompting you to think about the state of play around shared assets (think: cash, real estate etc). In the first two weeks of October a situation at work highlights an intense power dynamic. Harder, better, faster, stronger they’re words that serve you nicely but as Mars retrograde continues this month, the “go slow” signs continue. Wishing you a great month, and remember to think twice before you jump into anything. From new business ventures to moments of artistic genius, the time is ripe for mining opportunities out of the chaos. My favourite aspect (Jupiter sextile Neptune) delivers inspiration between 3-16 October when a brilliant idea inspired by the craziness of 2020 could just drop in. Resist the urge to make drastic changes and use the time to figure out what it is you really want. Reflect, reassess, review and recalibrate. All the “re” words are your October mantras. With our mental and physical faculties operating at half speed, the time for introspection is upon us. If you ignored the “slow down” memo last month, there’ll be no avoiding it once Mercury goes retrograde in Scorpio on 14 October.

We are in deep this month, with not one but two retrogrades (Mars and Mercury) keeping things very interesting.
